great title! i'd love to hear more about your experiences with teaching computer scientists. i have been personally involved in the the algorithmic literacy end a bit in some talks and over at another group project i'm involved with - runme.org... mostly focusing on google as an example as it's an easy one, and has some famous examples like the scientology incident. but, the discussion is a tough nut to crack: non-programmers and programmers alike seem very used to thinking of coding as an objective process - it's hard for people to get their teeth into it...
