Hi Sam,

I agree with you that Christian fundamentalists are seriously scary people that I would not want to see in power anywhere. It seems to me that the most problems arise whenever people start clinging to the frightened belief (whatever its basis or purported justification might be - religion, nationalism, heteronormativity, etc.) that there is only *one* "right way" to think, act, live, so that any alternatives are perceived as a threat and treated accordingly.
