On the other hand so much in the US is causual in a childish way. Ads propagate a "sgazzillon" words like "yumtastic," "whatever-tastic" ... and also grammar goes down the popular drain, vocabulary gets reduced to a heap of coolisms, a kind of "Friends"-language with "Seinfeld"-jokes. There is nothing wrong with a good cartoon if it's not part of a larger anti-intellectual picture.
