yeah, that's a problem. our hope is that sometimes people would post an essay to eadobbs and then start a discussion linking to their essay and inviting discussion some aspect(s) of it. but that's not easily communicated... and anyway, it's true that there is no (and i think should be no) definitive line between where one type of post starts and the other ends, just general guidelines...
