OK, i think i'm slowly getting what you're driving at.. that it's appropriate to feature & honor the accomplished, "the elders" ;-}.. Just to keep up a good (sub-)cultural ecology of recognition & well-being. It's good for all sides to maintain a certain continuity - for those looking back as well as for those looking forward. As long as it doesn't turn out stifling. And i don't think that's the problem at the moment.
